It may be a lot to take in for a novice as its is geared towards the more technically advanced user, but with this in mind it is worth pointing out that any novice web designer wanting to create high end, professional web pages will not go far wrong if they chose Dreamweaver.
When you first launch the program, the welcome screen appears in your workspace and it allows you to access all of your web pages, or to start a fresh. What makes Dreamweaver easy to use is that there a many ways in which you can access most of the commands. Dreamweaver also provides a powerful PHP scripting environment and also supports both HTML5 and CSS3. Dreamweaver`s new Live View shows things that are otherwise difficult to spot in JavaScript running in a browser. Designers and web editors who use Dreamweaver for high-end dynamic and professional web sites will find plenty of options for editing code with its `What You See Is What You Get` interface. Adobe in this version of Dreamweaver appear to have concentrated on making the unglamorous parts of the package less difficult and awkward to use.
One new feature lets you have multiple servers set for a site. This is great if you have a site on your own server that you then want to move over to another server when finished. Once you are into the fun of designing your site, you will find that there are many other new features that only come into play as the overall website evolves.
There are a number of pre-designed templates that you can use if you do not want to design your structure by hand. These layouts are much improved on the previous versions and even contain instructions within the page. Adobe has also streamlined Dreamweaver`s interface to match and integrate with other CS4 applications.
