Toshiba M700 tablet PC Review I've had this tablet for a month or so now and it's an OK tablet. There are pluses and minuses which I will go into now. The first thing that comes to mind with this tablet for me is how horrible the screen is outdoors. It is completely unusable outside in the sun. it claims to have some kind of screen that helps, but it doesn't. If outdoor use is important to you don't buy this laptop. Battery life is OK, but I am using the extended battery pack. It does add more usable time to the machine, but it attaches to the bottom and consequently puts the laptop at an odd angle. I guess i get about 5 hours of usable time with both batteries fully charged and using the WIFI. The overall layout of the tablet is good, I like the button placement and the fingerprint reader works well. The built in password storage is handy too. Keyboard is a good size and I love that the WIFI is an actual switch. Very cool feature that. As for the computer side it's what you would expect. Depending on the specs you get i guess, but mine is plenty fast enough. I haven't played games on it or anything, but why would you game on a tablet PC? it came loaded with all kinds of crap as most new PC's do these days. Other than that though no complaints. All in all this is a nice tablet PC if you don't need to use it outside. I would recommend it by itself without the extened battery pack if you are in an office environment only. It will be great there. |
